Me

I studied Graphic Design after school - I thought all the cool kids did that. Turns out I was rubbish. I failed the course, fell out of love with art and in love with music, and subsequently forgot I could ever draw. Roughly twenty years later I started sketching (pop stars) and realised two things: 1) That somehow I was a much better artist than before; and 2) I had at least two decades of time to make up.

My paintings are mostly of pop stars. They aren’t a comment on pop culture or society’s relationship with celebrities - I just love pop music - but if I am doing something with my art, I think I’m probably working out what I can do with paint and how I can represent the human form with it. I’ve little idea how my paintings will turn out and am constantly surprised and amused with what I end up with.

Oh, and I like drawing too, it’s not just paint. It’s all art though.
